Mitt Romney and Jimmy Fallon ‘Slow Jam The News’ on Obamacare

On Friday’s episode of NBC’s “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,” the host brought back his hilarious skit “Slow Jam the News,” this time with the most unlikely of guests: former Republican candidate for President Mitt Romney.

Honestly, it was a little jarring at first seeing Mitt’s noggin sandwiched between that of Jimmy Fallon and ?uestlove (sidenote: who starts their name with a punctuation sign?). But once Mitt got going, he looked strangely comfortable in that setting. And he was actually pretty funny.

Together, this inconceivable trio slow jammed the news on a number of topics ranging from NSA spying to Obamacare, all of which the President is expected to touch upon in his upcoming State of the Union address on Tuesday.

There were some great lines from the sketch. On the topic of NSA spying, Jimmy Fallon smoothly said:

Awwww, yeahhh… President Obama looked the American people up and down and said, ‘I’d tap that.’

On Obamacare, Fallon coolly cooed:

Mmm, mmm, mmm… Glitch, please… You gotta listen to the Mitt man. He had a program that worked for the people of Massachusetts. And let’s just say, it didn’t suffer from any performance problems in the hardware department.

All in all, this latest installment of “Slow Jam the News” with Mitt Romney is a hit. Too bad it wasn’t done in, say, October 2012, or we might be listening to Mitt speak on Tuesday.

Here’s the video:

What do you think? Is Mitt running in 2016?
