Comedian Remy Spoofs VA Scandal With Parody of ‘God Bless the USA’

ReasonTV’s Remy Munasifi has released another one of his signature parody songs, and it does not disappoint.

If you are not familiar with Remy’s work, he is, according to Wikipedia, “an Arab-American stand-up comedian, parody musician and video artist who became an Internet celebrity after his production of comedic sketches based on Arabs under the name ‘GoRemy‘ on YouTube.”

Remy has put out some great parodies and satirical works. In 2011, he released an original rap song called “Raise the Debt Ceiling” that is hilarious.

This past April, he debuted a “Tax Day” version of Pharrell Williams’ song “Happy” called “Crappy” that really reminds you of how great you feel every April 15th.

Last week, Remy published a new video, a “VA Scandal Edition” of Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the USA,” except in this version, the refrain is “God bless the government.”

The video is an example of great political satire and will hopefully draw more attention to the tragic conditions in our VA hospitals.
