Reactions to President Obama’s Speech Outlining ISIS Strategy

Tonight, President Obama spoke to the American people from the White House and addressed a topic that has been the subject of much consternation over the last few weeks: the lack of a defined response to the terrorist threat posed by ISIS in Iraq.

An abrupt departure from his “We don’t have a strategy yet” gaffe from an August 28th press conference, the President spoke in clear terms and outlined his strategy for routing the Islamic State militants, a strategy that is to include the use of airstrikes in both Iraq and Syria.

Additionally, the President communicated plans to deploy 475 American military advisers to Iraq, bringing to number who are stationed in the region to 1,000.

As expected, a number of Americans took issue with certain parts of Obama’s speech and provided some interesting, and sometimes humorous, feedback for the President about his new strategy. Here is just a sampling of some of the better Twitter responses to President Obama’s ISIS speech:
